WHEN DOES CONFERENCE PLAY BEGIN ? DATE. NEW TO COLLEGE HOOPS. but like to play dog's at home in conference games . has anybody had any luck this way?

Depends on the conference. There have already been some conference games.

But in general, conference play begins in January.
